I know a complex sentence has but and if because at the beginning. I did not know that a complex
sentences has a but and if because at the beginning. It was my first time learning about complex sentences.

Summarising the main idea

I was learning to summarise the main idea of a fiction story.  I know that when I summarise I need to talk about the who, what, when, where and why to include the most important information. It was easy for me to think about what to talk about in my own words.

We are leaning about multiplication.We learnt about using repeated addition to solve multiplication.
For example we know that 5x2 is the same as 2+2+2+2+2=10

I was learning to make a word plan. I know that a topic has 3 or 4 ideas.

I leant that I can use a word plan to help me with my writing.

I was learning about non-fiction texts.  Now I know a sub-heading is a mini title in a non-fiction books.  I have also learnt that it has photographs, a contents page and an index to help me find information.
